If you guys can remember vividly in 2015, we witnessed what seems to be the biggest fight ever in the Nigerian music industry between Don Jazzy and Olamide.
This happened during the 2015 Headies Award when the then Mavin Records Reekado Banks was awarded winner of the Next Rated Award over the then YBNL man Lil Kesh which didn’t go well with Olamide and it eventually led to a serious issue between the 2 label CEOs.
The rift was so intense that it took the intervention of Aliko Dangote before the issue was eventually resolved.
Fast forward to 2019, Headies has released their Nominees list for 2019 and in the Next Rated Category, we Mavin’s Rema and YBNL’s Fireboy
From all indications, industry champions have predicted that the Award is clearly between Rema and Fireboy (which is another Don Jazzy vs Olamide battle for supremacy again like that of 2015 again).
Seeing this alone, one question comes to mind
Hope This Won’t Lead To Another Olamide vs Don Jazzy Battle Again?
